Melville's Tier 1 Millionaires hosted a tournament recently and peaked a little too early.

The Mils, after opening the event with a 10-4 win over the Williston, ND Flyers in their first game, struggled to find the net in their next three contests.

The Weyburn Wings proved to be the tournaments top team, knocking off the Regina Capitals 6-2 in the weekend's final match-up while the Swift Current Broncos topped the Moosomin Ice Badgers 6-4 in the B-side final and the Regina Pirates edged out the Regina Aeros 6-4 as well in the C-side.

Melville's final game of the weekend was with the Yorkton Terriers and it was a 3-1 loss in the B-side consolation Sunday.

Talon Frick scored the Mils lone goal with Sheydon Woodhouse drawing an assist while Melville were called for five of the game's six minor infractions.

Earlier in the day, the Mils faced the Moosomin entry and were blasted 8-1 for their trouble. Garrett Lang scored the Atom Mils only goal as the Blue and White took five of six minors.

Woodhouse was the only Melville player to light the lamp in the club's second game Saturday, as the home town boys fell 10-1 to the Regina Caps.

The opening game, the Atom Mils best of the event Saturday morning, saw the Melville crew trail 2-1 after the first period but push ahead by a 6-4 count after 40 minutes of play.

Josh Clegget led the Mils offensively, notching four goals as Woodhouse sniped a pair and chipped in with a couple of helpers. Talon Frick also tickled the twine twice while Austin Kubinchak and Garrett Houston fired singles. Kailey Ottenbreit counted three assists as Spencer Schick and Hunter Lutz each garnered a single set-up point.

The Flyers were called for three of the game's five minor infractions.
