The Yorkton Atom AA Xerox Terriers captured the South East Minor Hockey League title. The team entered the playoffs on top of the standings with an 18-0 record in league play, which faced them off against the fourth place Estevan team in a best of three games semi-final series.

Like their larger Junior A counterparts, the Terriers were able to sweep the Bruins in two straight games, earning them a berth in the championship series against their arch rivals, the Moosomin Red Barn Ice Badgers.

Yorkton had not lost to Moosomin all year, despite Moosomin playing them tough at times during the regular season. The final series would be no different as Yorkton was able to sweep the series in two straight games in front of a wild home town crowd.

The Yorkton AA program has won the championship for the fourth consecutive year. The Xerox Terriers will conclude their season with a tournament in Calgary at the beginning of April.
