Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP were involved in a search for a missing 20 year old male for a period of five days until the body was discovered Tuesday aftneroon.

On the evening of Thursday, August 12at approximately 8:00 p.m. RCMP received a report of the suicidal male last scene in heading for the river connecting Echo Lake and Mission Lake in Fort Qu'Appelle.

Witnesses advised responding members the male may have entered the waters and as a result the river banks were searched by foot and the river was searched by boat, but the search, hampered in part by the darkness, was called off after several hours without success.

Search efforts were resumed on Friday August 13 again by boat and foot along the banks of the river. The Underwater Recovery Team was notified of circumstances and was also to assist in the search on Saturday morning.

On Tuesday RCMP reported they recovered the body of Lyndon Toto after it was discovered near the surface of the Fort Qu'Appelle River by RCMP searchers who were searching the area by boat. The Provincial Coroner's office was been contacted to assist in the sudden death investigation.
