After starting a two game home winning streak the previous weekend, the Yorkton Bulldogs just couldn't keep the home magic alive losing 7-6 to the Regina Rifles in their regular season finale.
The Bulldogs battled with the league leading Rifles all game and managed to mount a comeback in the third period off key goals from Jayden Dozorec before faltering to the Rifles comeback, losing a tough game to a first place squad at home.
The loss served as the Bulldogs last regular season contest in what has been an up and down year for the PGLL team who have to feel that if they had more luck on the road would be in a higher position than fifth place heading into the playoffs. The Bulldogs are tied for fifth with Estevan who have a game left. The Bulldogs will await the results of the final two PGLL games on the schedule before the start of the playoffs which take place in Saskatoon July 14-15.
