CAB Clothing/YRHS May Athletes of the Month

The Cab Clothing/ Yorkton Regional High School (YRHS) Female Athlete of the Month for May, Lea Burnard, competes in archery with the school and travelled to Florida with the team in October. The last two tournaments she took part in went very well.

The Cab Clothing/ Yorkton Regional High School (YRHS) Female Athlete of the Month for May, Lea Burnard, competes in archery with the school and travelled to Florida with the team in October. The last two tournaments she took part in went very well. At the home tournament Burnard scored 292 out of a possible 300, her personal best. At provincials she placed second against all high school girls, her second time competing at provincials.

Burnard has also been involved in band, travelling to music festivals and Banff. She is a PreAP English and Math student and has maintained an above 80 average throughout high school.

The Cab Clothing/YRHS Male Athlete of the Month for May, Dalton Bakke. is a very active individual. He is a Grade 12 student who has been involved in a number of sports. Bakke has played both basketball and football for the Raiders, helping lead both teams to successful seasons. He plans to continue playing football after high school with the Regina Thunder, a very competitive team in the Canadian Junior Foot-ball League.

He also plays Lacrosse with the Yorkton Bulldogs.

Bakke is also involved in the community as well as sports.

He is Athletic Director for the YRHS SRC and is also giving back to the sport of football by helping to coach with the Yorkton Minor Football Lions. Dalton looks forward to graduation and the future.
