Celebrate Jumpstart this May! One in three Canadian families cannot afford to enroll their children in sport and recreation activities because of financial barriers. (Vision Critical 2011).
Canadian Tire Jump-start is a national charitable program that works to change this. The program helps financially disadvantaged kids to participate in organized sport and recreation.
To date Jumpstart has helped more than 417,835 kids across Canada to play!
For the month of May all Canadian Tire stores, Canadian Tire Gas+, Pita Pit and Mark's locations will be offering customers a red ball in exchange for a $2 donation. One hundred per cent of all customer donations will stay in the local community.
As of May 4, when you receive a red ball you will have the option of going online (www. OneMillionRedBalls.ca) and uploading a photo which includes yourJumpstart red ball. All for the chance to win either a $5000 shopping spree to Canadian Tire/Mark's or Gas for a Year from Canadian Tire Gas+. This photo will then be added to the collection and help to create the Jumpstart Mosaic Map of Canada. There are also amazing weekly prizes available to win online.
Also, this year Pita Pit stores will be offering red balls in exchange for a $2 donation throughout the month of May. For every photo uploaded to the Jumpstart Mosaic Pita Pit will also generously donate $2 to Jumpstart up to a maximum of $25,000.
On Jumpstart Day - Together we can help all kids play! Saturday, May 26 is Jumpstart Day. Come and be a part of something amazing - helping kids from financially disadvantaged families in your local community get involved in sport and recreation.
On Jumpstart Day, many Canadian Tire stores across Canada will have a day filled with fun activities to help raise money for kids in their local community. Stores in your area may be hosting car washes, balloon pops, table top games, raffles and BBQ'S.
