October 29 to November 3 is Agriculture Week in the City of Yorkton.
Celebrating the importance of agriculture to the community the week will be held in conjunction with the annual Harvest Showdown event which is slated for October 30 to November 2.
The agriculture industry significantly impacts the economy in Yorkton said Juanita Polegi, Executive Director of the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce in a recent presentation to Yorkton City Council, with over 60 businesses directly involved in serving the farming and ranching community.
This year marks the 25th year for the upcoming Harvest Showdown event and residents are encouraged to get out and enjoy the activities slated to take place on the Yorkton Exhibition grounds.
