Clean Spot Terriers win A-Side in Roleau

The Yorkton Clean Spot Novice Terriers won the A side at a tournament held in Rouleau on Saturday, January 19. The Clean Spot came out on top in their first game against the Regina Whalers by a score of 11-0.

The Yorkton Clean Spot Novice Terriers won the A side at a tournament held in Rouleau on Saturday, January 19.

The Clean Spot came out on top in their first game against the Regina Whalers by a score of 11-0.

Goal scorers were Reid Pfeifer with 5 goals and 1 assist, Chett Ostapowich with 3 goals and 1 assist, Ashton Schuster had 1 goal, Landon Burkell had 1 goal and Owen Bahrey had 1 goal and 1 assist.

The Yorkton team then went on to beat the Regina Broncos 16-0 in their second game of the day. Ostapowich scored 7 goals, Pfeifer had 6 goals, Daxton Kulcsar scored 3 goals and Bahrey had 2 assists.

This brought the team to the A-final in which Yorkton beat the Regina Avalanche 11 - 1. Pfeifer scored 4 goals and had 2 assists, Ostapowich had 3 goals and 3 assists, Burkell had 3 goals and Madix Vitkauskas had 1 goal. Dray Sobkow was strong in net all day tallying two shut outs.
