If you haven't yet had a chance to dispose of flood debris now would be the opportune time to do so.
The City of Yorkton has announced that as of Monday, August 30, the community dumpsters that were provided to support the flood cleanup will be removed.
Dumpsters are currently located at: Public Works on York Road; the Old Crown Mart location (Assiniboia Avenue and South Front Street); and on Park Street.
The city landfill will remain open with the following hours in effect:
Until August 31: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday;
September 1 to 30: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday;
Oct. 1 to April 30: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The Landfill is closed each Sunday as well as Statutory Holidays (Monday, September 6).
