The Cab Clothing Yorkton Regional High School (YRHS) Female Athlete of the Month for February, Raelene Nagy. has been a member of the senior girls basketball team for the last two years. She has shown a great deal of commitment and determination that have helped her to develop into a very strong basketball player.
Nagy plays post on the starting line up and is one of the top rebounders and a top five scorer.
Off the court, she is an excellent academic student and has maintained an above 80 per cent average throughout her three years of high school. She is a very reliable and hardworking student and player.
Nagy always brings a positive attitude to the gym and continues that attitude wherever she goes. She is a great leader among her peers and is well deserving of being recognized as an Athlete of the Month.
The Cab Clothing YRHS Male Athlete of the Month for February, Ben Redl, is currently a Grade 10 student at YRHS. He is an Honor Roll Student who has participated in football, badminton, volleyball, soccer and is currently on the senior basketball team.
Redl also played on the provincial basketball team over the summer. In his free time he enjoys windsurfing at his cabin, working at the Gloria Hayden Community Centre and hanging out with his friends.
