To the Editor: RE: the old Yorkton mill. Firstly, it's hard to understand how this piece of structure can be developed into something of real beauty.
Secondly, I can't understand the thoughts behind making the area into some kind of park. It's right beside the railway and dangerous for small children. It's also noisy.
The old elevator should have been fixed up and it could have been with the knowledge of a good contractor. It cost approximately $100,000 for demolition and this could have been put towards repairs. This was a lot of money.
We could have had something to be proud of, a true site of beauty. This remaining structure is hardly "a beauty."
