To the Editor:
I wanted to thank the selection committee and all those involved for giving me the privilege of creating the Olympic Torch Run legacy sculpture "Fire and Ice."
To have some involvement with what will likely be remembered as our most exciting olympics ever for Canadians is indeed a thrill. In some small way the challenges of creating an artwork help you connect with the effort and passion of an athletic event. I hope my winter athletes "frozen" in action will be a remembrance of these past olympics and an inspiration to all to partake in our Canadian winter activities.
Once again, thanks to all involved and hopefully a long ,warm fall to all, before winter arrives.
