February is fast approaching and with it comes the recognition of a long time organization in Canada. This day is the birthday of the founding fathers of Guiding and Scout organizations - Lord and Lady Baden Powell. The day has since become known as "Thinking Day."
In recognition of this fact, the week of February 19-25 has been officially proclaimed as Guide/Scout Week in the City of Yorkton. During the week a number of activities within both organizations have been planned, including a flag raising on February 19 at City Hall.
