Trailing the visiting Beardy's Blackhawks by two goals after 20 minutes, the Yorkton Harvest battled back with four goals in the second period and added a pair of markers in the final frame to claim a 6-4 win over the visitors Saturday night.
Yorkton's penalty kill took a beating in the opening period as Brett Boehm and Landon Robin each potted a powerplay goal to give Beardy's a two goal lead after one period.
The Harvest rallied with three goals in a little more than two minutes in the second period.
Tanner LeSann started the scoring parade midway through the period assisted by Roddy Sewap.
Levi Cable tied the game a minute later assisted by Dustin Skilliter and Kailum Gervais.
John Odgers added Yorkton's third goal assisted by LeSann and Gage Rapitta.
Dustin Minto added Yorkton's fourth late in the period assisted by Rylan Badduke and Gervais.
Austin McDonald's powerplay goal with under a minute left in the period pulled Beardy's within one after 40 minutes.
Cable scored his second of the game midway through the third period assisted by Skilliter and Ben Johnstone.
Deven Fafard capped Harvest scoring with a powerplay goal assisted by Sewap and Gervais.
Boehm pulled Beardy's within two late in the third before time ran out on the luckless Blackhawks.
Sunday afternoon the Yorkton Harvest came out on fire to set some sort of team one game scoring record by knocking off the visiting Blackhawks 7-2 at the Farrell Agencies Arena.
Team captain Skilliter opened Harvest scoring early in the first period with a powerplay goal assisted by Johnstone and Kody Thue.
Josh Lees added Yorkton's second goal assistec by Yanni Mamais and Fafard.
Colton Laroque made it 2-1 with a powerplay goal late in the period.
Rapitta opened second period scoring midway through the period assisted by Gervais and Adam McCannell.
Cable ripped one past the Blackhawks netminder, Brett Lewchuk, assisted by Johnstone to make it 4-1 for Yorkton.
Braden Oleksyn capped the Blackhawks scoring drive.
Despite having essentially won the game, the Harvest continued to pummel the Black-hawks with a pair of third period goals.

Johnstone capped the scoring in the game with a solo marker late in the frame to clinch a 7-2 win for the Harvest.
Yorkton Harvest head coach Graham Garrett says, "This was a huge weekend for us." The wins puts the Harvest ahead of the Beardy's Blackhawks in the standings and pulls the team closer to Regina and Tisdale in the points race.
"I thought today was by far the best 60 minute hockey game where we technically played within our systems, we battled hard individually and put the puck in the net when we had opportunities. That's why the score was 7-2," Garrett continues.
He feels the Harvest outplayed Beardy's. Harvest goalie Spencer Bomboir played well. The defensemen moved the puck up very well. The forwards attacked with some speed and passed well, Garret closes.
