Both power play and penalty kill units were working well for the Harvest as the power play squad buried the puck six times on 18 opportunities for a 33 per cent average while the penalty kill units held the Pat Canadians scoreless on seven chances. As well the Harvest showed a good deal of discipline making only seven trips to the sin bin while the Pat Canadians took 18 penalties in the game, 10 of then in the third period alone.

Regina jumped out into a 3-2 lead after the first period as Brandon Helbgewachs, Jared Martin and Colby Williams each slipped the puck past Harvest net minder Spencer Bomboir.

The Harvest scored a pair of power play goals in the opening period to keep the game within reach. Dakota Odgers notched the first assisted by Tanner LeSann and Kody Thue. Devin McGonigal scored the second assisted by Blake McMillan.

Garett Lockeridge scored the lone second period goal for Regina to give the Pat Canadians a two goal edge after two periods.

The Third period belonged to the Harvest as Yorkton went on a six goal scoring spree.

McGonigal got things rolling with his second of the game a little over a minute into the third period with a power play marker assisted by Odgers.

Jake McMillan scored Yorkton's fourth goal assisted by LeSann.

McGonigal completed his hat trick with a power play marker assisted by Brayden Park.

Odgers, not to be outdone, also scored a hat trick with a couple of third period power play goals. The first assisted by Jake McMillen and the second assisted by Nicholas Pouliot and Kailum Gervais.

Blake McMillen added the insurance marker, an empty net goal, assisted by Pouliot to clinch the 8-5 win.
