Five goals should win a hockey game. Unfortunately for the Yorkton Harvest, whose slump continues, the opposing team, the Tisdale Trojans scored seven goals to claim the 7-5 win at the Tisdale Recplex Thursday night.
The teams were tied at a goal apiece as first Jake McMillen scored for the Harvest assisted by Tanner LeSann and Jeffrey Ness. Then JJ Coleshaw tied things up with less than 30 seconds left in the period.
The Harvest added a pair of goals in the second period but the Trojans added three.
McMillen scored his second of the game early in the period assisted by Lynnden Pastachak and Brayden Park.
McMillen scored the third of his four goals in the game unassisted.
Tisdale's three second period goals came from Luc Casavant, Ty McLean and Brayden Gelsinger.
Dakota Odgers tied the game for the Harvest less than a minute into the final frame with an unassisted marker.
Gelsinger and Coleshaw each scored once in the third period to reestablish Tisdale's two goal margin.
McMillen, who led the Harvest scoring in the game, scored his fourth of the game to pull Yorkton within one assisted by Pastachak.
McLean capped game scoring with an empty net goal top clinch the 7-5 win for the Trojans.
