Harvest tame ND Hounds

The Yorkton Harvest opened the first of a five game road series with a 5-2 win over the Notre Dame Hounds in the Duncan McNeill Arena Thursday night. The Hounds lit up the scoreboard in the first period to take a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes.

A pair of second period powerplay goals drew Yorkton even. Tanner LeSann notched the first, a powerplay marker, assisted by Dustin Skiliter.

Nicholas Leonelli give the Hounds a brief, one goal lead before Kade Halabuz scored the second powerplay goal to even the score assisted by Roddy Sewap.

The Harvest staged a third period scoring spree with three goals.

Skiliter opened the scoring less than 30 seconds into the third period assisted by Levi Cable and Ben Johnstone.

Gage Rapitta capped Harvest scoring with an empty net goal with less than one minute in regulation time assisted by Kailum Gervais to claim the win.
