Have a penny give a penny

The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority has announced it is opening its doors to help thousands of people who go without nutritional food on a regular basis.

The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority has announced it is opening its doors to help thousands of people who go without nutritional food on a regular basis.

The Salvation Army and the SLGA are encouraging the public to drop off their pennies at 25 liquor stores in 10 communities across Saskatchewan - including Yorkton. The 10 day fundraising campaign will wrap up on Friday, April 27. Money raised will support Salvation Army feeding programs across the province.

With Canada set to scrap the penny - every penny that you donate could contribute to the many Salvation Army feeding programs in Saskatchewan.

If people don't want to drop off their pennies at the aforementioned liquor stores, they are welcome to drop them off at any Salvation Army office in their local community also.
