To the Editor:
Do you feel you and your family should have the right to eat and drink what you choose? I bet most of you think you do have that right. Well, sadly, we Canadians are being stripped of this right and most of us do not even know it!
The government has made it illegal in our country to sell a variety of wholesome foods - raw dairy being the one getting the most press these days. Should you choose to buy or sell foods that are considered "illegal" - you may face legal consequences, such as having your home, farm or business ransacked, taken hostage, or worse.
In our country it is legal to buy and sell cigarettes and alcohol, to buy and sell raw seafood and rare beef that could be loaded with contaminants in many five star restaurants - but we are forbidden to sell any milk straight from healthy, grass fed, organic cows. It is fully legal to sell milk that is from cows that have been injected with antibiotics, growth hormones, has been beaten, caged, frozen - that is confined and crippled, as long as they boil the life out of their milk first. Raw milk is not legal here.
If you think that we should have the basic human right to consume the foods of your choice - and that the government should be leaving these personal choices in the hands of the people - then you need to stand up and come let your presence represent that position.
In Saskatoon and Regina on November 23 there will be a food freedom rally and we are petitioning as many people as possible to attend - especially those that have an interest in being given the right to choose healthy foods for our families. At this time it looks like we will be meeting at 12:00 noon in front of the Saskatchewan Legislature for about 45 minutes in Regina and in the front of City Hall in Saskatoon.
There may be some speakers and an opportunity for whoever wants to share. Would love to have as many parents with their children attending as possible, in addition to anyone who is remotely interested in Canadian freedom in general!
Please do not take our freedoms for granted - too many fine people lost their lives for our freedoms - let's not sit back and watch them be stripped from us one at a time.
