On Saturday, Oct.26 Sacred Heart High School hosted the ECDAA Girls Volleyball Finals.
There were eight teams divided into two pools of four based on the four conference playoffs. Pool A had Yorkton Regional High School, Invermay, Sturgis and St. Henry's. Pool B consisted of Churchbridge, Sacred Heart, Kamsack and Esterhazy. After the pool round robin play the top four teams went into the play-off round. Pool A had Invermay first and YRHS second while pool B was Esterhazy first and SHHS second.
In a very close and exciting semi-final game Sacred Heart defeated Invermay 2 games to 1while Esterhazy defeated YRHS 2 games to 0.
In the Bronze match Invermay defeat YRHS in 2 games to take home the bronze.
In the gold final SHHS and Esterhazy played two closely fought games with Sacred Heart coming out on top to win the gold.
Jr. Saints coach Chris Hansen would like to thank all of the parents and volunteers for coming out to support the Saints at districts and would like to thank his players on a successful 2013 season.
