Lady Saints at YRHS

The Sacred Heart High School Senior Lady Saints competed in the Yorkton Regional High School (YRHS) senior girls volleyball tournament over the weekend in their first action of the year.

Head coach Perry Ens says the team's performance far exceeded his expectations. With only four returning players this year, the majority of the team is made up of nine rookies, Ens reports.

The Lady Saints finished fourth in their pool and took Prince Albert, who were first in their pool, to three games before bowing out.

"The girls played hard. They were scrappy. Defensively we were quite sound for our first tournament," Ens reports.

The Senior Lady Saints will play at a University of Regina tournament this weekend and then take part in Mega-Volley at several different high school in Regina the following weekend.
