Rodney Hanishewski of Rama District, has been officially charged with one count of attempted murder in relation to a July 27, incident that occurred in the RM of Invermay, Saskatchewan.
Hanishewski was to appear in Saskatoon court Thursday morning?to answer to the charge.
On July 27, Canora RCMP responded to a call reporting a shooting that occurred on a farm eight miles north of Rama. The victim, a male?age 47 who's name has not been released, was shot by a neighbour?and suffered?a serious injury.
The suspect , a 44 year-old male who has now been identified as Hanishewski,?was subsequently arrested by Warman?RCMP at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday morning approximately?three miles?east of Highway 11, from the town of Warman.
The arrest occurred without incident, and the RCMP recovered?long barrel rifles from the suspects vehicle.
The matter remains under investigation by Canora and Warman RCMP.
