The Yorkton Midget Manos Terriers hosted an eight team tournament at the Kinsmen Arena over the weekend.

Tournament coordinator Dan Mckenzie says the eight participating teams included the Manos Midget Terriers, Prairie Storm from Balgonie, as well as teams from Clavet, Lampman, Dauphin, Moose Jaw, Kamsack and Lanigan.

The teams were fairly competitive with only one runaway game Saturday morning where Kamsack beat Lanigan 12-1, Mckenzie reports.

The tournament offered four divisions, A,B,C, and D with all four finals played Sunday, he adds.

The tournament sponsor, LDM Foods is very pleased to put on the event, Mckenzie states.

Mckenzie expresses the tournament committee's appreciation to the tournament sponsor, the eight teams participating in the tournament, volunteers and ad sponsors in the program.

Tournament results were: A final Kamsack 5 to 4 over Clavet; B final Yorkton 2 to 1 over Moose Jaw in a nail biter; C final Prairie Storm won over Dauphin tied after regulation time, three overtime periods, then to shoot out. Won by Dauphin in third round of shoot out. D final Lampman 8 to 4 over Lanigan.
