Yorkton Terrier assistant coach Danny McKay has previously been with the team with Don Chesney and last season with Trent Cassan and Don Chesney.

McKay says the season was a great experience despite the final result. After working in the SJHL for a long time, he feels that in working with the Terriers he was working for the best organization in junior hockey right now. "It's just like living a dream for me. You get paid to do what you like to do," he declares.

McKay's season isn't done. As coach of a Team Sask. squad, he's taking a team to the National Aboriginal Hockey Championship in Saskatoon this year. McKay, who has coached the team for five years, is currently seeking to win his fourth national title.

He enjoys the experience of working with good young First Nations kids and Metis kids from all over the province in a tournament featuring young players from all over Canada. "It's a good experience for our kids to get out and show their skills and talent," McKay states.

McKay who has coached the team for some time now says, "They keep asking me back so I must be doing something right."
