The Yorkton Sno-Riders submitted several nominations from the area to the annual Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association (SSA) 'Diamonds in the Snow' Awards in Saskatoon including Club of the Year, Groomer Operators of the year and Volunteer Member of the Year. The club also nominated a local business, Outdoor Sporting and Construction of Rhein, for its contributions to snowmobiling in the area.
Yorkton Sno-Riders long time member Darrell Mirva was awarded Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association Volunteer of the Year for his contributions this season. Mirva who served and chaired several committees on the Yorkton Sno-Riders executive and was a former club president was recognized provincially for his efforts, reports Sno-Riders president Jason Popowich.
