Long-time Saskat-chewan Party MLA, Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance Ken Krawetz, has announced he will run for a fifth term of office in Canora-Pelly.
Krawetz was first elected as an MLA under the Liberal banner in 1995. In August of 1997 he and seven other MLAs formed the Saskatchewan Party. Krawetz was re-elected as a Saskatchewan Party MLA in each election since the formation of the party. After the Saskat-chewan Party formed government in 2007, Premier Brad Wall appointed Krawetz as Deputy Premier and Minister of Education. he took over the finance portfolio in June of this year.
"While in opposition, we laid the ground work for what we wanted to accomplish in government and the people of Saskatchewan gave us the honor of moving forward with those ideas after the 2007 provincial election," says Krawetz. "We've always believed as a party that the province had so much more to offer and now as a government we're seeing Saskat-chewan move forward. It's definitely an exciting time.
"I'm looking forward to being the candidate for Canora-Pelly and continuing to be part of a Brad Wall government."
