Sunrise Health Region is pleased to welcome two physicians to our region.

Dr. Taofik Adedeji (pronounced Ah-did-a-gee) began practice on January 13, 2014 as a General Practitioner, joining Dr. Kabongo and staff in Preeceville at the Preeceville & District Health Centre. Dr. Adedeji previously practiced in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Dr. Ricardo Adane (Ad-danny) began practice on January 20, 2014 as a General Practitioner in Yorkton. Dr. Adane's office is located in the City Medical Centre and new patients are currently being accepted.

"Preeceville has had only one physician serving their community for a significant length of time and having Dr. Adedeji as a part of our health care team will help meet the needs of the community with less interruption in emergency services," says Roberta Wiwcharuk, Vice President of Integrated Health Services.

Physician recruitment and retention continues to be a strategic priority; the region was pleased to welcome 10 new physicians throughout 2013. There are currently 34 general practitioners, 22 specialists and 37 visiting specialists and locums in the region.
