If you're into motorcycling you might want to take note of the new laws that recently came into effect in Saskatchewan.
SGI is reminding all motorcycle riders with a learner's licence (Endorsement 6) that the Motorcycle Graduated Driver's Licensing (MGDL) program has begun.
Motorcyclists with a learner's motorcycle Endorsement 6 that was obtained before June 18, 2011, will be automatically placed in the Learner stage of the MGDL program and will have new driving restrictions, depending on how long they've held their Endorsement 6.
"We encourage all motorcycle drivers who hold a Learner endorsement to familiarize themselves with where they fit in the program and ensure they're aware of the new restrictions they need to comply with," says Andrew Cartmell, President and CEO of SGI.
In the MGDL program, as new riders become more experienced and move through the stages they will see fewer restrictions. Motorcyclists who already have their Endorsement M will not be part of the MGDL program.
