SHOWING OFF A WAX FORMATION that provides information on the Yorkton area, Linda Greba has put a new spin on an old custom to provide people with insight into their lives.

Have you ever wondered what the future has in store for you? Wouldn't it be nice to be able to peer into a crystal ball and catch a glimpse? While she doesn't use crystal, area resident Linda Greba does have a method of providing insight when it comes to health and life in general.

She calls herself an extrasensorist and with the use of wax, does readings to help people better understand their health and their lives - past, present and future.

"A wax reading is an old Ukrainian custom that comes from old babas pouring wax over people's heads... with your wax and a little bit of psychology behind you, you can help people," she suggests. The wax was used to help people with psychological problems as well as to put an end to night terrors and problems of that nature.

Greba has taken the readings to a different level. Wax is no longer poured on the head. It's rather melted down and then poured into water. Greba is then able to "read" the formations that take shape. Details about health, the future and the past are all revealed to her she says, during the reading.

"I can show people in three dimension, what I'm telling them verbally."

While she has been using her insight and doing readings since about the age of nine, Greba only began reading professionally about three years ago to help raise funds for her grand daughter who has a health disorder.

She continues to perfect her skills with every reading and still learns new things everyday. It's a skill that everyone has within their grasp she says, yet few tap into it.

"What I do is I mind read and that's just using the brain. All of us are capable of it. It's no different that reading, writing or arithmetic. As long as somebody teaches you how to access both sides of your brain and make the accessibility more easy, you can do it."

Trial and error for many years has helped her to learn and grow her skills says Greba.

During her university days she recalls predicting a construction accident. "I told the construction workers some children were going to die where they were working, they needed to keep them away. Of course they didn't listen so I got infuriated and went to the police..."

The police also brushed off her warning. "So I watched the children for about four days to try to keep them out of the gravel pit. I was missing classes and finally I had a professor call and say, 'if you want to pass get your paper in to me.' So I hopped on the bus and the accident did occur while I was gone..."

The experience taught her to hone her skills. "You learn how to approach people... to not intimidate or scare people by offering too much too soon."

On her recent Yorkton stop, Greba brought with her a wax piece that she used to do a reading for Yorkton.

First she says, she heats the wax and then pours it into water to cool it and firm it. It's then removed from the water and closely examined. "There is also a great deal of prayer and meditation. What you do is request what you want to be presented and then focus on that as you are pouring... you have to be very clear in thought in what you want for information."

For Yorkton, she focused on the city in general and what the future might hold.

"These," she said, pointing to bumps in the wax, "represent four different oil companies that will eventually be coming into the area and doing some drilling." Gas, as well as an open pit mine will also be discovered she says.

"I would say in the next five to ten years we'll probably hear people talking..."

While most people would look at the wax and just see bumps, Greba says she can see much more. Understandably not everyone is going to buy into what she does but she says that's fine by her.

"Everybody has a right to their opinion. If I'm true to what I do and I continue to produce results, they will speak for themselves... It's not my job to change people's opinions..." While there may be "fakes" out there, Greba says using one's mind to provide insight is very real and doable by anyone who chooses to tap into the skill.

"Is everybody capable of it? Yes. Does everybody want to go through the amount of work it takes to develop it? I don't think so... It isn't something that you do overnight. It takes persistence and it takes a willingness to be wrong and say you're wrong."

For Greba there is no other way of life. "I do it because I love it. This helps people... I truly enjoy it and it's my way of giving back..."

Anyone who is interested in tapping into their psychic skills can give it a go. Greba has put together a kit she has made available for sale that can help get you started. She is also available to do readings herself. Call her at 1-306-338-8554 or 1-306-548-5552.
