There's been another bank robbery in the area and local RCMP would like your help in solving the crime.
Members of the Yorkton RCMP received a call last Friday afternoon at approximately 3:33 p.m. reporting an armed robbery at a financial institution in the community of Springside.
Two male suspects had already fled the scene in what is reported to have been a maroon colored, 1994, Chevrolet, 3500, pick up truck that had been recovered shortly after this incident in the Good Spirit Lake District. This truck had originally been reported stolen from the Tufnell, Saskatchean area earlier that afternoon.
The description of the two male suspects are as follows: Suspect number one has been described as being approximately 5"8" to 5"10" tall, approximately 130-140 lbs, slim build, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black track styled "windpants" with no elastic bottoms and black colored running shoes. This suspect had disguised his face by wearing a camouflage colored balaclava. Suspect two has been described as being 5"6" to 5"8" tall, also having a slimmer build, wearing a black colored shirt, newer navy or dark colored jeans with yellow styled stitching and white colored running shoes. The suspect also disguised his face by wearing a black colored balaclava.
Reports from the scene indicate that a quantity of cash was stolen and a long barreled firearm was reported to have been involved in the robbery. All members from the public and employees inside the financial institution that had been working at the time of this incident were not injured.
The matter remains under investigation with assistance being received from all of the surrounding Detachment areas, Yorkton District General Investigation Section, Yorkton Forensic Identification Section and Yorkton Police Dog Services.
