To the Editor: Let me lend my support to the idea of urban chickens, what a great idea.
Keeping a few chickens in the back yard will be just the thing for many families. It will not only supply fresh eggs, it will be a family project that will put children back in touch with nature. Six chickens will not create a health problem when rules of good livestock husbandry are followed.
Yorkton is still a small community, lets be open minded about ideas like this and not put roadblocks up.
