Former Yorkton Terrier and Yorkton resident Joel Danyluk was awarded scholarships worth a total of $1,250 for Hockey, funded by An Augustana Faculty Award in Hockey. Danyluk is currently a second year Bachelor of Management student at the UAlberta Augustana Campus.
This was part of over $519,000 was provided by the University of Alberta and Augustana Campus in recognition of excellence in Academics, Fine Arts, Athletics, and Leadership, awarded 320 students on the campus for the 2012-13 academic year.
Danyluk's hockey career saw him play for several teams in the WHL and SJHL, and he also won the SJHL Community Player of the Year award in 2011.
