The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Yorkton Club is an organization of female university graduates who for over five decades, have participated in public affairs through education, advocacy and action.

To celebrate the accomplishments of the CFUW both the province and the City of Yorkton have proclaimed September 14 as CFUW Day.

Historically, said local club president Elsie Stechyshyn to Yorkton City Council members Monday evening, the CFUW, Yorkton Club, founded in 1954, has been involved in much in the city, from helping to establish the library, to helping to lobby for recycling. The club also donates regularly to numerous organizations in Yorkton as well as it funds several scholarships.

On September 14 the local branch is planning a special reception from 7-9 p.m. at St. Mary's Cultural Centre in hopes of raising greater awareness of the organization and its commitments.
