SHHS captures badminton gold

The Sacred Heart High School (SHHS) badminton team had a strong showing at the badminton tournament in Melville recently. They won three gold medals, one bronze medal and had a fourth place finish.

The Sacred Heart High School (SHHS) badminton team had a strong showing at the badminton tournament in Melville recently. They won three gold medals, one bronze medal and had a fourth place finish.

Mark Kuemper and Anthony Fetsch captured gold in Boys Doubles.

Bailee Skikewich and Troy Wagonner won a gold medal in mixed doubles, and Kylie Chupa captured her second consecutive gold in ladies' singles.

Kyra Brown and Kaitlin Inglis had a strong showing in ladies' doubles capturing bronze and Derek Marshall just missed a bronze finishing in fourth place in boy's singles.

SHHS won the aggregate award for the highest points total of all teams at Canora as all SHHS teams that competed won medals.

Bronze medals were won by Jonny Bell in men's singles, Allison Kruger and Colin Shewchuk in mixed doubles, and Kristen Jonassen and Rhiana Skikewich in ladies' doubles.

Gold medals were won by Kaitlin Inglis in ladies' singles, and by Anthony Fetsch and Travis Inglis in men's doubles.
