The Sacred Heart High School (SHHS) boys hosted the third annual eight team Sacred Heart Junior/Senior Christmas Classic boys' basketball tournament at the Halo Dome over the weekend. Tournament coordinator Garrett Karcha says the third annual event featured four junior teams and four senior teams.

Karcha worked with SHHS junior boys coach Brent Guenther to bring both juniors and seniors into the building for a one time tournament.

The round robin tournament was basically intended to get the teams some playing time. "There are no plaques handed out. It is basically an exhibition tournament," Karcha explains.

Currently the SHHS Senior Saints have 13 players who seem to be developing quite well, Karcha says.

School enrollments are dropping, Karcha reports so the SHHS teams will change Sask. High School Athletic Association (SHSAA) classification next season, he notes.
