The Female Athlete of the Month for May, Allison Kruger, has been involved in as many sports as possible at Sacred Heart High School (SHHS). She has been on the soccer team, junior volleyball team, junior basketball team, badminton team and the track team.
At the same time she is involved with many other activities at Sacred Heart, so she is a very busy girl.
Kruger is a solid and reliable talent, whose sunny disposition makes her an ideal leader and teammate.
The Male Athlete for the Month of May, Preston Liebrecht, has played on the soccer, volleyball, football, basketball and track and field teams.
He has had numerous athletic accomplishments over the year winning multiple team awards. A few notable accomplishments include: scoring 15 goals in two soccer playoff games leading to a provincial title; scoring four touchdowns in one playoff game; scoring 27 points in one half of a basketball game.
Even though the track season was cut short it was certain that Liebrecht would have added to the banner count on the SHHS gymnasium wall.
Liebrecht always practises hard, learning how he can improve everyday no matter what the sport. His positive attitude is infectious and we are excited to see what he will accomplish in his Grade 12 year.
