The Saints Sr. Boys Volleyball team traveled to Langenburg on September 24th to attend the annual Screamin' Eagles invitational tournament.

In attendance were Langenburg, Rocanville, Melville Comprehensive (MCS), Norquay and Sacred Heart. The Saints team fought hard throughout the round robin going undefeated 8-0. In the semi-final MCS was defeated taking 3rd place while Langenburg moved on to face Sacred Heart in the gold match. Langenburg kept the momentum from the semi-final winning the first set 18-25. Sacred Heart re-grouped taking the second set 26-24 and then took the gold winning 25-14.

"This was the Saints second tournament of the year and it was great to bring home the gold. We only had half our roster taking seven players to the tournament which included only three grade 12's. The athletes saw tons of court time which allowed everyone a chance to improve throughout the competition. Preston Liebrecht led the team with his strong power hitting, while Dylan Johnson and Justin Shumay shut down the opposition with their outstanding blocking at the net. Both Jaedon Pellatt and Logan Coutts both showed improvements leading the team in passing" says Coach Curtis Moen. The next tournament for the team will be in Swift Current on September 30-October 1st.
