To the Editor: On January 28, 1988 The Supreme Court of Canada struck down Section 251 of the Canada Criminal Code legalizing abortions being performed for any reason - from fertilization to the birth of a child.
Over three million plus children have been aborted since the aforementioned date. Over 110 thousand are losing their lives yearly and over 3,200 babies were murdered in Saskatchewan in the past year.
According to the inquiry under the Access of Information Act, Health Canada replied stating that often through a search of all documents reports and correspondence, the department found no evidence that abortions are "medically necessary."
Pregnancy is not an illness, disease or injury so why are Canadian Taxpayers paying for abortions?
On January 28, 2011 from noon until 1 p.m. at the corner of Dracup and Broadway (in front of Tim Hortons) a group will gather to pray and witness on behalf of all children who lost their lives because of abortion.
