The Sunrise Health Region (SHR) has launched an online "Well Wishes" program designed to provide family members and friends convenient access to send "get well" messages to patients in the Yorkton Regional Health Centre by using an online website form.
Well Wishes messages are hand delivered to patients each weekday through a partnership between Sunrise Switchboard employees and volunteer services. Upon receipt of messages via SHR website, staff members print the messages and volunteers deliver the messages to the patient's room. Messages received on weekends or statutory holidays will be delivered the following business day; messages are confidential and are printed and then folded for delivery.
The Well Wishes program is currently available for patients in the Yorkton Regional Health Centre with plans to expand to other facilities throughout the region in the future.
