SJHL seeks president

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, considered to be by many to be the top Junior "A" hockey league in Canada, is seeking the right candidate to fill the position of league president.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, considered to be by many to be the top Junior "A" hockey league in Canada, is seeking the right candidate to fill the position of league president.

The league is looking for a highly motivated team player who is a leader and has the management skills necessary to deal with the 12 member teams in the league and their personnel along with representing the league in a variety of capacities including meeting with Hockey Canada and Saskatchewan Hockey Association officials.

Job specifications include:

supervision of all league affairs

ability to work independently with minimal supervision

ability to work with a board of directors and volunteers

ability to prepare and present operation budgets

a knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles

strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills

oversee and work with league marketing contractor and communications director.

Contract, wages and health benefits negotiable.
