Taekwondo Challenge Kees Taekwondo Yorkton will host the Prairie Wildfire Taekwondo Challenge, an invitational, Olympic style taekwondo tournament with participants from four provinces and northern USA Saturday, October 22.

Kees Taekwondo Yorkton will host the Prairie Wildfire Taekwondo Challenge, an invitational, Olympic style taekwondo tournament with participants from four provinces and northern USA Saturday, October 22. The event will kick of at 8:30 a.m. at the Gallagher Centre Flexihall.

Admission to the tournament will be $7 per person.

Public Skating

Public skating is offered at the Kinsmen Arena Sunday nights from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. starting October 16.

Pre-school and seniors skate Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. beginning October 11.

Get Moving

The Boys & Girls Club of Yorkton offers 'Get Moving' a great big play date for children ages 0 to five years along with parents and guardians. The drop-in program will run every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Gloria Hayden Community Centre starting October 12 and continuing to Wednesday, December 14.

Babies and children can take part in games and songs, snacks and playtime while interacting with parents, guardians and other children.

Youth Swimming

The Boys & Girls Club of Yorkton offers swimming as part of the Be Active, Be Fit program.

The four week program, open to youth ages seven to 12 years, will take place at the Gallagher Centre Water Park Thursdays November 3, 19, 17 and 24 during the Leisure Swim time 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Space is limited to 20 kids, so register early. For more information or to register call 783-2582.

Harvest Showdown

The annual Grain Millers Harvest Showdown agriculture fall fair and tradeshow with heavy horse show, horse pulls, cattle show and sale, team roping and penning, rodeo, cabaret, exotic animal sale, fiddle competition, auctioneer competition, tradeshow will be held Wednesday, November 2 to Saturday, November 5 at the Gallagher Centre, Yorkton Exhibition Grounds.
