The Sacred Heart High School (SHHS) Senior Saints boys' basketball team played in an eight team tournament in Estevan recently. The Senior Saints swept to a tournament title with a perfect 3-0 record.
Sacred Heart went up against Stoughton in its opening game, emerging with a 77-71 win. Scoring leaders were Brendon Walkington with 11 points and Carter Ruff with 10 points in the game.
The Senior Saints downed the host Team, Estevan, 75-51. Preston Liebrecht led the scoring with 38 points while Nathan Ruff added 12 more.
The final match saw the Saints come up against Weyburn to claim an 86-56 win. Liebrecht, who seemed to get stronger as the tournament progressed, led the way again, scoring 42 points. Nathan Ruff contributed another 19 points for the win.
