It's not held in Yorkton but there are an abundance of local children who attend each summer and once again the opportunity is around the corner.
St. Michael's Camp at Madge Lake in Duck Mountain Provincial Park is a Ukrainian Catholic Camp for youth and teens.
"We believe in engaging our campers in spiritual, cultural, social, physical, intellectual, moral and recreational activities in order to provide a fun spiritually nourishing and memorable camp experience," says Camp Director Lyrissa Kuschak.
"This upcoming summer we will run two camps - a camp for teens aged 13-16, followed by two weeks of youth camp for children aged 8-12, the summer will close with one more week of teen camp."
On site children have the opportunity to enjoy canoeing/kayaking, swimming, group games, and warm campfires. Indoor activities (when weather is uncooperative) include: drama, improv, arts and crafts and also there are spiritual activities.
While the camp is a Ukrainian Catholic Camp it is open to individuals of any faith who want to make new friends and experience the outdoors while growing in their faith.
