A new chair will be welcomed to the helm following an announcement by Greg Kobylka, Chairperson of the Sunrise Regional Health Authority that he will be resigning his position effective September 1, 2012 due to increased commitments outside of his role as Board Chair.
Serving on the Sunrise Regional Health Authority Board of Directors since November, 2004, Kobylka has been involved in a number of advancements and initiatives in Sunrise Health Region.
"I feel very fortunate to have been a part of so many great things, including new strategic initiatives focused on patient and family centred care and the conceptual planning process for new health facilities in our region," he says.
"I am very confident that Sunrise Health Region is in an excellent position as an organization, with advancements already made in new innovation and strategic direction. The Board and the Sunrise Health Region team will continue with the great enthusiasm and dedication that has been demonstrated throughout the years that I have been involved."

Until a new Chairperson is appointed, Lawrence Chomos, Vice-Chairperson for the Sunrise Regional Health Authority Board of Directors, will serve as the interim Chairperson.
