The Sacred Heart High School (SHHS) senior badminton team had an extremely successful district tournament in Melville. Three Sacred Heart teams emerged as district champions as well as adding a bronze medal to that total.
Kylie Chupa captured the ladies' singles title.
Troy Wagonner and Bailee Skikewich claimed the gold medal in mixed doubles competition.
Mark Kuemper and Travis Inglis were named boys' doubles champs.
Nathan Guy and Emily Kruger won a bronze medals in mixed doubles play.
The wins advance all three teams to the regional playoffs which will be played at the Yorkton Regional High school Saturday, May 7. First and second place winners at regionals will advance to the provincial championships May 14 in Biggar.
