Terrier organization in good shape

Yorkton Terrier Hockey Club president Lyle Walsh is looking ahead to another big season for the Terriers. While the weather doesn't appear to be hockey weather, both the team and board are ready for hockey, Walsh says.

The hockey camp went over well with some good talent demonstrated on the ice, he suggests.

The season Ticket blitz went well with sales on par with past years. Sales have continued steadily with lots of 'walk ups' in the last couple of days, Walsh reports. Early bird prices are still in effect until September 9, he points out.

Terrier operations and finances are in much better shape this year, Walsh states. "We're going into it in a little better shape than last year for sure," he declares.

The club has hired some new staff including an assistant coach and assistant general manager, Walsh reports. "I think we should be off to a good start," he predicts.

He urges local hockey fans to take in some hockey. "There should be some good exhibition games coming up and the (regular) season's not far away," he closes.
