The Yorkton Terriers slide into the new year continued Tuesday night as the Nipawin Hawks outshot Yorkton 37-28 on the way to a narrow 3-2 win.
The Terriers took a one goal lead in the first period on a goal by Craig Eisenhut assisted by Zak Majkowski and Brent Struble.
Tanner Dusyk tied the game early in the second frame.
Eisenhut added his second of the game to give Yorkton another narrow one goal lead assisted by Majkowski and Blaine Tendler.
Jonathan Ceci evened things up to send the team to the dressing rooms tied at two after two periods of play.
The Hawks held the Terriers off the scoreboard in the final frame as Dusyk notched his second of the game to clinch the 3-2 win for Nipawin.
The Terriers next home game will see Yorkton hosting the Kindersley Klippers at the Farrell Agencies Arena at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 11.
