The Yorkton UCT Bantam AA Terriers managed to hold the visiting Melville Millionaire Bantams to a 5-5 tie at the Farrell Agencies Arena in their last home game before Christmas.
The Bantam Mils led 4-2 after two periods. A three goal third period rally pulled the Bantam Terriers even at the end of regulation time.
Melville jumped into an early first period lead on a pair of goals by Koal Roberts.
Turner Ottenbreit pulled the Bantam Terriers within one goal midway through the first assisted by Kholton Shewchuk and Tanner Mak.
Mak tied the game for Yorkton late in the second period with a single handed marker.
Second period goals by Marial Beny and DJ Crane gave the Bantam Mils a two goal edge after 40 minutes.
Roberts added his second goal of the game to give Melville what appeared to be a comfortable lead in the game.
The Bantam Terriers were not done, however, as Jake Holinaty led a three goal scoring rally with the opening goal early in the final frame assisted Ottenbreit and Shewchuk.
Chance Patterson scored Yorkton's fourth goal to pull the Bantam Terriers within one goal assisted by Josh Rohatynsky and Mak.
Steven St. Marie tied the game for Yorkton with almost eight minutes left in the third period assisted by Ottenbreit.
