Fresh off of their Russell Initiation Program Tournament's A side championship win, the Yorkton IP Tim Hortons Terriers took to the road again to attend the Esterhazy Initiation Tournament.
The IP Terriers picked up right where they left off, winning all three games on their way to the Esterhazy Initiation Tournament's A side championship.
In the tourney opener, the Terriers came out firing, defeating a game Langenburg Warrior squad 21-2.
Terrier power forward Liam Hoffman potted two goals and was named Rising Star of the game, while winger Chance Happy, fighting through illness all weekend, was named the game's Most Sportsmanlike Player.
The second game saw the Terriers defeat the host Esterhazy Blue Flyers 17-7 in a back and forth tilt.
Steady defenseman Sam Cristo was the Most Sportsmanlike Player of the game for the Terriers, while centre iceman Grady Hoffman was named the game's Rising Star for his five goals.
The A final was a closely contested 60 minute battle, with the Terriers ultimately prevailing 10-7 against a very strong Moosomin White Rangers team.
Matthew Ronn's three goal effort and tenacious checking helped him land the game's Rising Star honors, while DJ Pelly and his solid two way play saw him earn the Most Sportsmanlike Player of the game.
