Two locals charged

A summertime robbery has resulted in two local residents being charged. On June 3 2010, two masked suspects, armed with a firearm, entered Family Pizza in Yorkton, and robbed the lone employee at gun point.

On June 3 2010, two masked suspects, armed with a firearm, entered Family Pizza in Yorkton, and robbed the lone employee at gun point. No injuries occurred and only a small amount of cash was stolen.

Members of Yorkton Municipal RCMP, the Yorkton General Investigation Section, The Forensic Identi-fication Section, and Police Dog Services participated in a joint investigation that has resulted in the following charges:

Nineteen year old Blaine Lukas Quewezance, and a 16 year old male, both of Yorkton, have been charged with robbery with a firearm and wearing a disguise with the intent to commit an indictable offence.

Quewezance appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court on October 6, 2010, and was remanded in custody. His next court date was set for today, October 14.

The youth appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court on October 8, and was remanded into custody. He is also to appear before the court on October 14.
